Thomas D Maikoff

September 6, 1951 — February 17, 2021

Thomas Maikoff, age 69, passed away February 17, 2021. Tom was born in Altamont, NY where he spent many years of his life.  He attended Parks College of Engineering Aviation & Technology at St. Louis University graduating with an Aviation Degree. He worked for GE in the nuclear department for 25 years working with BWR’s, traveling all over the United States and abroad. Tom referred to himself as a “nuclear nomad”. He married his loving wife Terrie in 1992 in Japan.

He is survived by his wife Terrie (Lynch) Maikoff; one son Wesley Maikoff (Jeanie Ault); one brother Timothy (Carol) Maikoff; three step-children Terra (Mark) Porn, Fredric Rub, and Robert (Nicole) Rub; six step-grandchildren Drew & Dane Porn, Isabelle, Cassia, Jude and Gilyana Rub; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Catherine (Dudyshyn) Maikoff.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
