Weto 'Doc'A' Gutierrez Weto 'Doc'A' Gutierrez, of Joliet loving husband and father, 87, died peacefully August 4, 2010 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, four days before his 88th birthday. Born in San Francisco, Guanajuato, Mexico, he is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Juana, and brother Gilberto. Doc migrated to the United States to raise and provide a better life for his family. After settling in Joliet, he organized and coached the first local men'?s soccer team and managed and coached a very successful Mount Carmel softball team. Doc served as president of the Former Hawks Athletic Club and was the union steward for his Local U.A.W. at Rockwell Standard. He also worked for Joliet Catholic High School and Four Seasons Nursing Home before retiring in 1998. He is survived by Lupe (Marquez) his loving wife of 66 years and his five devoted children: Lydia (David) Dominguez of Joliet, Raul of Joliet, Ricardo (Jennifer) of Chicago, Ralph (Eileen) of Joliet and Anna (Paul) Sereiko of Wellesley, MA.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Saturday August 7, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. to the Cathedral of St. Raymond for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sunny Hill Nursing Home
