Warren J. Lonzo

Age 91, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 1921 at his home with family at his side.

Survived by his loving wife Marilyn (Nolan) Lonzo; one son Thomas (Margaret) Lonzo; one daughter Julianne (Scott) Minato; grandchildren Patrick and Madeleine Lonzo, Patrick, Michael and Colleen Butler; sisters Judith Orlopp, Adrea Miles and Marian Nelson; sister-in-law Beverly Nolan.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents Lester and Mildred (Koeser)Lonzo; three brothers Donald, Neal and Leslie Lonzo; one sister Lucille Early.

Born in Two Rivers, WI, living in Joliet, IL and Sarasota, FL most of his life.   Warren was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.   Graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago where he honed his artistic talent, leading to his many years in design engineering for large engineering firms as well as his passion for art and painting which his family will forever enjoy.  Retired from Fluor-Daniel Engineering Firm.  Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL.   Warren was a devoted Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox Fan.  A special thank you to the caregivers with Gentle Touch Home and Transport Assist as well as Lightways Hospice Care.

Visitation Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, from 9:00 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.   Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society or The Wounded Warrior Project.
