Age 82, passed away Thursday October 6, 2022 at Palos Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Survived by her daughters Susan Smith, Lynette (Guy) Bernhard, Bonnie Reichhardt and Beverly Reichhardt; step children Phillip (Laura) Braham, Karl (Laurie) Braham and Angela Murrell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one niece.
Preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Braham; parents Louis and Gladys E. (Boettcher) Koch; one sister Virginia Balgeman.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Joliet Township High School Class of 1957 graduate. Retired from Empress Casino. She enjoyed watching game shows on TV with her cat, Buggy. Shirley and her granddaughter, Katie, were two peas in a pod.
Funeral services will be held, Monday October 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Monday morning 9-11.
