Roberto Plascencia, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife of forty-five years, his children, and grandchildren on March 4th, 2026. Roberto was born on November 24, 1959, in Rancho El Saltillo, Jalisco, to Francisco Plascencia and Maria Socorro Rocha. He married Beatriz Hernandez in April 1980, in Arandas, Jalisco. Roberto retired from Carpenters Local 174 where he was a member for over 3 decades. Roberto enjoyed spending his free time in his garage tinkering and inventing, cooking up new foods in the kitchen, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren, children, and laughing. He was a loyal friend that would always lend himself to being a helpful hand never asking for anything in return. He is survived by his wife, Beatriz (Hernandez), his children; Guadalupe, Adriana (Moises Arroyo), Ricardo (Vannesa Contreras), Alonso, and Elizabeth (Fernando Azpeitia); his grandchildren, Mia, Michael, Melissa, Lorenzo, Ricardo, Roberto, and Ramona; as well as his siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Saturday March 7, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 407 Irving St. Joliet, IL 60432 for Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Visitation Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
