Robert “Bobby” Mancini, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 16, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Chicago to the late Robert and Yolanda Melf, Bobby lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to those he cherished most. He was married to his wife of 27 years, Tammy (Cooper) Mancini, who was his partner in life and love.

Bobby was a proud and caring “bonus dad” to Angela (Sean) Alexander, David (Jackie) Gryczewski, Kaitlin (Ryan) Farrar, and Courtney Gryczewski (Jason Cluchey). His greatest joy was being “Poppy” to his grandchildren: Jason, Abby, Payton, Alexis, Raegan, Amalia, Baylee, Abigail, Ella, Cooper, and David.

He was the brother of the late James Melf, brother-in-law to Marilyn Melf, Lori Cooper, and Pattie (Fred) Alm, uncle to Jimmy (Kim), Jeremy, Joey, Jessica (Dillon), and Sydney and great uncle to Raelynn and Julian. Bobby cherished his family deeply and always put them at the center of his world.

A proud veteran, Bobby served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, embodying the values of courage and sacrifice throughout his life.

Bobby enjoyed a long career as an Auto Sales Manager before retiring. Known for his warm personality, sharp wit, and gift for connecting with people, he left a lasting impact on both colleagues and customers. Outside of work, Bobby loved cheering for his favorite Chicago teams—the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks—singing karaoke, and sharing good food and laughter with the people he loved most.

Above all, Bobby will be remembered for his generous heart, his sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
