Richard A. Shamonski III

Age 43, passed away Saturday March 26, 2022 at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center.

Survived by his three children Elizabeth, Matthew and Andrew; father Richard A. Shamonski Jr.; one brother Robert Shamonski; in-laws Rick and Angie Popplewell.  Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his mother Nora J. (Humfleet) Shamonski; paternal grandfather Richard (Barb) Shamonski Sr; paternal grandmother Joan (Curly) Curl; maternal grandfather Gus (Kathy) Humfleet and maternal grandmother Mary (Hank) Besser.

Born in Joliet, living in Wilmington.  Member of the Calvary Apostolic Church in Romeoville.   Richard loved spending time with his kids.  Many thanks to brother and sister-in-law Roy and Melissa Cresong for their endless care.  Thanking also the church family that held him up in prayer. “15 years of being blind and now the first thing he sees will be God”  a quote by cousin Reuben Kern.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022,  12:00 p.m. at the Calvary Apostolic Church, 16 E. Barker Circle, Romeoville, IL 60446.   Visitation Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. until time of services.   In lieu of flowers memorials to the Calvary Apostolic Church would be appreciated.
