Survived by her children Brenda (Wayne) Gear, Danny (Nancy) Stoddard and David (Adrian) Stoddard; granddaughters Laura (Rich) Mansell, Rachel (Phil) Hensley, Samantha Frigo and Elizabeth Gear; grandsons Ryan (Jen Hart) Stoddard, David (Vlora) Stoddard, Adam (Heather) Gear, Nick Frigo and Ethan Gear; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Vernon Stoddard (1993); son James Stoddard; Siblings Mildred Scopel, Nellie Schwanke, Verda Brunetto, Buel Eckman and Leora Bada.

Born in Gillespie, IL, living in Joliet and moving to Shelbyville, IL.

Retired in 1998 as a secretary from the State of Illinois.

Member of Channahon United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.  Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. till time of services.  Memorials to Lightways Hospice (Joliet Area Community Hospice) or the family would be appreciated.
