There aren't enough loving words to say about Mary Lou, but my children had her for 1st grade at Chaney and she taught them ALL they needed to learn for life! Love and respect! I lived next door to Mary Fran Mali, and it was such a hoot when the kids would get Mary Lou and Mary Fran confused. An angel on earth and now in heaven.

I remember telling my mother that my daughter had her as her teacher, and my mother said OH I KNOW HER< she was my moms childhood friend, they lived across the street from one another at one point. They both were in Christian youth center at the highschool, and I actually went to school at JJC with her daughter Sue. I was so sorry to hear this, good teachers are hard to find. One time i ran into her at a funeral and she came up to me and called me Gail Binder, which was my mothers maiden name and i was able to introduce myself to her . She is and was always a bright shining star, a loving person who will be missed and i was glad that I could get to know her as my children went to Chaney monge. sincerely

Mrs. Fields left a lasting impression. I will always remember her as the kindest and sweetest teacher. She taught us the most patience.
