Lewie Grando Age 82 passed away Monday April 16 2012 at his home with his family by his side.Survived by his loving wife of 58 years Mary (Sebben) Grando daughter Mary Lou (Tim) Shanahan son Dino (Laura) Grando two grandchildren Jillian (Tony) Contos and CarriAnn Grando and Lewies first great grandchildren expected in June.Preceded in death by his parents Fiorello and Louisa Grando one brother Raymond Grando (1947).Born in Joliet a lifelong resident. Verteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Humphrey Sons Machine Shop after 45 years. Lewie built and flew model air planes and was a avid Cubs fan.Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home Friday April 20 2012 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m.
