Leona T. Merzlock Libovicz Age 81 passed away Saturday May 28 2011 at Silver Cross Hospital.Survived by her two sons Mark (Judy) Merzlock and Paul (Debra) Merzlock grandchildren Andrew (Bambie) Merzlock and Jennifer Merzlock one great grandchild Kylie Jean Merzlock one sister Beatrice (Bernard)Mahalick one brother Basil (Elaine) Libovicz and one brother-in-law Martin Seeley. Numerous nieces nephews and cousins also survive.Preceded in death by her husband Peter M. Merzlock parents Basil and Katherine (Szepelak) Libovicz two sisters Mary Seeley and Olga (Donald) Fumagalli.Born in Joliet a lifelong resident. Leona worked for A.L. Mechling Barge Lines GAF Corp., F.E. Marsh School and the City of Joliet. Member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church and the Joannites.Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home Thursday June 2 2011 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday 3-8 p.m.
