Leona Britz Nee: Gatons Age 86, passed away Thursday April 18, 2013 at Walnut Grove Village in Morris, IL. Survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Walter Britz; two children Jean Travica and Wally Britz; grandson Paul Travica Jr.; parents Samuel and Mary Gatons; brothers C.F. "Buddy" and Mark Gatons; sisters Bernadine Gleason, Lillian Hischier, Rita Clinton and Agnes "A" Hischier. Born in Joliet on February 17, 1927 and a lifelong resident. Member of Cantigny Post V.F.W. Post #367 Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. to Holy Cross Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. John Cemetery.
