Lenore A. Barnes

Lenore Ann Barnes, age 70 of Palos Heights, IL passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021.

Lenore was predeceased by her loving husband Robert D. Barnes.  She was also predeceased by her Father Leonard Brenkus, her brother Lenny Brenkus, her Father in Law Robert E. Barnes and her Mother in Law Lois Barnes.

Lenore is survived by her son Matthew Barnes and his wife Erin; mother Marion Brenkus; her brothers Joseph Brenkus, Tom Brenkus and his wife Diane; her sisters Christine Brenkus, Mary Burdick and her husband Kevin, Debbie Clough and her husband Tom; her sister in law Janet LaMasters and her husband David. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Lenore was born in Chicago in November 23, 1950.  She graduated from Queen of Peace High School and continued her Education at Chicago State University. 

Lenore worked as a Catholic school elementary school Principal for many years before retiring in 2012.  She enjoyed traveling, volunteering at the Morton Arboretum, and spending time with her loving family.

Visitation service will be held at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home; 1500 Black Rd. Joliet, IL on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 3pm-7pm.  A prayer service will be held immediately following.   Friends and family are invited to livestream the service by visiting the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home website and clicking on link.   

The Grave-Side service will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10am at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Please arrive at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag by 9:30am.
