Age 89, passed away peacefully Thursday February 19, 2026 at the Cottages in New Lenox.

Survived by three daughters Cathy (Steve) Ducharme, Cindy (Dennis) Ludden and Jodi (Marshall) Dirks; grandchildren Stephanie (Joseph) Brown, Matthew (Ashley) Ducharme, Connor (AnneShirley), Austin and Taylor Dirks; great grandchildren Sadie Ducharme, Steve Brown, Shawn Brown, Mary Ducharme and Michael Ducharme. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife Margaret Rice; one grandson Michael Ducharme; parents Millard and Marie Rice; two brothers Bill Rice and Jack (Marge) Rice.

Born in Joliet, a life long area resident. Ken retired from Eco Lab. He loved fishing, biking, and cars if restoring or watching races.

Visitation Sunday March 1, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:30 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
