Joyce E. Bossen

Joyce Evelyn Bossen, age 91, of Joliet, IL, passed away at her home on March 17, 2026 with her family at her side.

 Survived by her children, Ricky Bossen, Susan (Mark) McDowell, Keith (Sheri) Bossen; one sister Velma (David) Roland; grandchildren Nicole (Kyle) Lindner, Jennifer Bossen, Donald Bossen II and Alexander McDowell. Many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Donald Bossen; parents Edward (Lucile) Taylor, and one sister Betty (Ralph) Hicks. 

Born in Dearmanville AL, Joyce spent her early adult years with her family on Fort McClellan Army Airforce Base where her father managed the Officers’ Club. It was there she met her husband Don Bossen, born in Arcadia, NE to Floyd and Pauline Bossen.

 Don and Joyce were both active members of First Presbyterian Church in Joliet and members of The Moose, Elks, Knights of Columbus, and Lions’ Clubs. Avid travelers, they never tired of many business and holiday trips throughout the world.

Memorial Services to be held on Saturday April 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM. First Presbyterian Church, 805 Western Ave, Joliet, IL 60435. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m.
