Joy Thompson

Joy Thompson Nee: Speicher Age 69, passed away Sunday February 3, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Survived by her husband Ted Thompson; daughter Jennifer Thompson; son Jeffrey (Evon) Thompson; brother David (Carol) Speicher; sister Mary Sue (Phil) Yoder. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents Charles M. and Eva May Speicher. Born in Goshen, IN, living in the Joliet area since 1970. Joy created and taught the Training Development Program at the University of St. Francis. Prior to her employment at the University of St. Francis, she taught Art at Joliet Junior College for 13 years. Member of ICCHE, member and Past President of the Zonta Club of Joliet. Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment at the Violet Cemetery in Goshen, IN. Visitation Saturday 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Illinois Chapter, Suite 400, 651 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, IL 60661 would be appreciated.
