Josephine Mossberger Nee: VanDyke Age 79, passed away Thursday January 5, 2012 at Hinsdale Hospital. Survived by her daughters Sue (Tom) Anderson and Carolyn (Chuck) Mossberger, son-in-law Frank Busbey; grandchildren Christopher (Rachael), Daniel (Lori), Tim (Erin), Paul (Jenny) and David (Kelli); numerous great grandchildren; brothers Robert (Ann), Glen and Wesley; sisters Jeri Skiniotes, Jean Walker and Rosemary Chellios; her best companion Sparky. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Raymond Mossberger; daughter Karen Busbey; one son Douglas W. Mossberger; father Irvin VanDyke; mother Laura VanDyke; stepmother Edna VanDyke; brothers Irvin and Tom VanDyke; sisters Ina Mae Cox and Linda VanDyke. Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Retired from Seven Eleven Funeral Services be held Monday January 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. As per Josephine's wishes cremation rites will follow. Private Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Monday morning 9:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to West Suburban Humane Society, 1901 Ogden Ave., Downers Grove, IL 60515 would be appreciated.
