John Jones Age 65, passed away Wednesday June 19, 2013. Survived by his children Rachel (Kent) Bearden, Joe (Amy) Dubrovich, Mande (Dwight) Larson and Matthew Jones; grandson Ethan Bearden; sisters Marquirite Stytz and Bonnie (Timothy) Jackson; brother Wesley (Arlene) Jones; Rachel's mom and John's best friend Sandra Crater; Aunts Shirley Yowell, Anna Knoop and Jenny Knoop; nieces and nephews Russell (Carrie) Jones, Aaren (Tina) Stytz, Brad Jones, Megan(Mike Verbic)Stytz, Sam Jones and Tommy Jackson; sister-in-law Martha Jones. Preceded in death by his parents W. Curtis and Fern (Knoop) Jones; brother Thomas Jones. Born in Joliet, raised in Elwood, living in Joliet. John was a U.S. Army Veteran. Retired from Illinois Bell and The Plaza Hotel. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas to visit his daughter and grandson and also enjoyed sky diving. John was a very knowledgeable man, he loved to read about history and watch movies. Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward and Christ Episcopal Church. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery. Visitation Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Memorials to St. Edward and Christ Episcopal Church or the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
