Jean Frye

Jean Frye Nee Newman Age 83, passed away Friday July 6, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Survived by her daughter Tracy (Michael) Benignetti; grandchildren Jessica and Erik Siebold; son Jeffery and grandson Brandon Frye; sisters-in-laws Betty Compton and Betty Pat Leach. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Louis M. Frye; parents Linder and Pauline Newman; sisters Anna Lee Noyes and Georgia Henry-Cook and brother-in-law Dewey Compton. Born in Cowling, IL a Joliet resident since 1975. Retired nurse working in several hospitals around the area. Member of First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O., Stephen Ministry and other church groups. Jean also enjoyed volunteering throughout her life. She was an avid golfer and golfed in several leagues. Funeral Services will be at the First Presbyterian Church, Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Craig M. Herr officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home and Wednesday morning at church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
