Nee: Fiske

Age 92, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.

Survived by her children Sharon (Denzil) Smothers, Robert (Michelle) Vertin, Richard Vertin, William (Lisa) Vertin and Gregory Vertin; 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Vertin; daughter Barbara J.  Allison; son Kenneth Vertin; two granddaughters Linda and Kaylee Vertin; parents Joseph and Rosella (Wise) Fiske; brothers Joseph Fiske, Donald Ryan; sisters Elizabeth Lander and Rosemary Benedict.

Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident.  Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.  Idamae was a great cook and best role model for her family, whom she just adored. She will be missed. A special thanks to the Our Lady of Angels staff for their compassion and wonderful care these past years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers do a random act of kindness in her name.  Spend time with your family and show them how much you love them.
