Ethel McCraith dham Cobourn Age 94 passed away Monday January 23 2012 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born July 9 1917 in Cisne IL.Ethel was preceded in death by her husbands Jack McCriath and James dham parents Velma Miles and David E. Cobourn brother Ralph E. Cobourn.She is survived by her children Laurence P. (Donna) McCraith of Springfield VA and Marsha (Lou) McCraith of Shorewood brother Harry (Joan) Cobourn of Joliet granddaughters Shannon (Bill) Brown of Fairfax VA Stacey (David) Schnell of Newtown PA and Lisa (Mike) Chytracek of Minooka great grandchildren Alexis Chase and Tierney Brown Colin and Reilly Chytracek.Ethel was very active in Cantigny Post #367 Ladies Auxiliary. She held numerous offices among these were Past President Department President State President Voice of Democracy Chairman Patriotic Chairman Junior Girls Chairman and Chaplin. Sundays were spent traveling to Veteran Hospitals and Nursing Homes as well as working the Friday Fish Frys. Helping to save the Rialto Theatre was another one of Ethels contributions time and effort was spent writing letters and she was interviewed on WJOL radio.Ethel was a very energetic and spirited lady. She loved music and singing and could remember lyrics to her favorite songs even at 94.Many thanks to the nurses CNAs and staff at Our Lady of Angels as well as the caring staff of Hospice.Funeral Services will be held Friday January 27 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. Memorials to Our Lady of Angels Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Cantigny Post #367 Ladies Auxiliary would be appreciated.
