Duain C Christensen

Duain C. Christensen, Sr., 72, passed away peacefully at his home. Duain was the owner of Christanos Italian Restaurant in Ashkum, IL from 1980-2007. He and his wife Mary Ann then moved to Chicago where he pursued a career with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Duain loved gardening and especially loved growing roses. Survived by one son Duain Christensen, Jr; one sister Joan Martin of Hinsdale, IL; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann (Flammini) Christensen; his parents; and 3 brothers Rollo, Harry & Gale Christensen. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army in Duains name would be appreciated.
