I was introduced to Carol through my service as a Stephen minister. The Lord blessed me with one year of a wonderful friendship. When Verma called to inform me of Caros time drawing near I wrote a message and short prayer that I wanted to share with Carol one last time. Carol I want to tell you how much you meant to me in my service to the Lord. We shared many tears as well as lots of laughter.

Carol was my sister in law for 68 years. My memories go back to the days when I was serving in the Seabees in WW II. I was dating and later married her sister (Jane Wadsworth.) Carol was a little girl around 4 years old at the time. When I would complete my duties at the base each evening I would catch the local bus to go see Jane and Carol would always be watching for me to get off the bus. She would always come running to greet me. She would grab me and lead me back to their home. She seemed like a daughter from the time I met her and she will always have a special place in my heart. I have wonderful memories of special times we shared. She will be greatly missed by eneryone. May God Bless and provide comfort to her loved ones during this time.

Aunt Carol was a special giving person. She was so generous to share her memories of our grandparents with us and help us get to know a little bit more about a side of the family that lived so far away. Carol and John were so loving to our boys especially Brady. Though hes very young I have no doubt that he will remember of her what we all will her love.

My memories of Carol will always be one of a wonderful lady who was always there to help others. She was always there when people needed her. She was loving fun and caring. She was someone you could always count on and put others needs before her own. My memories go a long way back to when I first met Carol and how she made me feel so welcome as a new member of the family. We were blessed to enjoy John and Carols company here in San Antonio. I am grateful we had the opportunity to create some wonderful memories with her and John. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I know she is in her heavenly home and at rest.

John Peg and John Debbie and Kevin Chris and Rob and grandchildren - Aunt Carol was a friend and aunt and she will be so dearly missed. She had the ability to make everyone feel special and important. Even while she was sick she was worried about all of us. She was so much a part of our memories growing up with my Mom Nina. When Verma called to inform me of Carol's time drawing near, I wrote a message and short prayer that I wanted to share with Carol one last time. Carol, I want to tell you how much you meant to me in my service to the Lord. You have inspired me by your courage and strength. I loved that we could share our love of Christ through fellowship and prayer. We shared many tears as well as lots of laughter. We clung on to that golden cord reaching to Heaven as tightly as we could. You fought the battle trusting God with all your heart. I love you and will miss you. I will carry you in my heart until I see you again.Lord, thank You for this precious Lady. I thank You that You called me to share in her life a ministry of caring and Your special love. I know she always trusted You, Lord, and I know that is where she always got her strength. I thank You for Carol and the time that we shared. In Your most precious Name. Amen.
