Age 99, passed away peacefully Thursday August 17, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Home.

Survived by her two nieces Jill Gawley and Jayne Grask; numerous great nieces and nephews and great great niece and nephews.

Preceded in death her parents Gilbert and Florence (Bruggeman) Voss; brothers Gleen and Orville; one nephew Jay Voss.

Born in Mokena, lived in Manhattan and Joliet.   Graduated from Peotone High School.   Bernice was employed by Rustcraft and Illinois Bell Telephone Co.  Former member of the Will County Rural Chorus, Telephone Pioneers of America and St. Peter’s Quilters.   She was a member and taught Sunday School at St. Peter’s UCC Church in Frankfort.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s UCC Church, 12 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423.   Interment St. John Cemetery in Mokena, IL.  Visitation Tuesday morning at church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m.   In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Peter’s UCC Church would be appreciated.
