Albert John Kissel II

Age 64, passed away suddenly, Monday September 7, 2026 at his home.

Survived by his true love of 25 years Bobette Dodge of Crest Hill; daughter Nicole Elena Kissell and son Mathew John Kissell both of Aviano, Italy; mother Helen Marie Kondor; two step daughters Melissa Ann Gora of Joliet and Michelle Lynn (Gregory E. Martinez) Gora of Harvest, AL; brother Timothy Scott Kissell and one sister Michele Lee Kissell. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in his father Albert John Kissell.

Born in Allegheny County, PA, living in Crest Hill past 26 years. Albert was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Desert Shield/Storm. After 15 years in the Air Force, Albert held the rank of SSGT at time of discharge. He worked for the Department of Corrections, Internal Affairs for 26 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will take place Wednesday 2:30 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
