John Philip Riley

John Philip Riley was born to Nicholas and Genevieve (Chilcott)  Riley (deceased).

John was brother to Nicholas, James, William, and Thomas; all deceased.

 He leaves behind his sisters, Mary Riley Brown and Barbara Riley Hanes.  John Riley leaves to mourn, his wife, Deborah Markus and his loving children and grandchildren: 

 John Riley Jr., Jim Riley and Gina Patrice Riley and her children, Jenna Lauren and Hannah Elizabeth. ( Former wife, Pam Giorgis)

Numerous loving nieces and nephews also survive.

John attended Joliet schools and enlisted in the United States Army in 1967.  He trained at Ft.  Campbell, Kentucky and was later stationed at Ft Riley, Kansas and Vicenza, Italy where his first son, John Jr. was born.

After his honorable discharge, he settled in Romeoville Illinois.  John worked for Com Ed/Exelon for many years.  He was a volunteer fireman with the Romeoville Fire department, also.

John and his family attended St Andrews Church in Romeoville and was active in volunteering his time.

John retired from Com Ed and later worked for MJ Electric.  John Riley was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of nature.  He instilled this love to his children and grandchildren.

Services for John Philip Riley will be held August 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM until noon at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Road, Joliet, Il.

Interment will full Military Honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln Memorial at 2:00 PM
