Douglas A. Stamm “Doug”, “Inca”

Age 49, of Westchester the last years, and formerly of Joliet.  Passed away Friday January 12, 2018 at Hinsdale Hospital.

A graduate of Providence High School, he then enlisted in the Air Force.  He managed several Clark gas stations until he become an over the road truck driver for over 20 years.   He graduated from Joliet Junior College in 2013 with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science with high honors and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  Doug worked in the IT field for the last five years.

Survived by his son Phillip; loving and devoted soulmate Christine Sorna; his father Arthur “Art” Stamm of Joliet; his sister Karen (Paul) Drew; nieces Allison and Stacy Drew of Shorewood, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Preceded in death by his mother Judith “Judy” (Pappas) Stamm; his grandparents Phillip and Vivian Stamm and Nicholas and Helen Pappas.

Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Wednesday January 17, 2018, 9:15 a.m. to St. Bernard Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.   Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Visitation Tuesday 4-8 p.m.   In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
